Hey Eli,

I just stumbled across you blog here. Looks pretty interesting. Here's my crack at it...

       1. My LifeStyle design focus is self-employment.
       2. My current state is:
             1. 7 weeks into web development and little money to show yet.
             2. Things seem to get easier the more you do them.
             3. Dealing with self-doubt is a very big challenge
       3. My progress and successes are dampened by my impatience and self-dout

Hi Eli,

Sensational Insight.

Engaging in contrast has done wonders for me. To know what you specifically want it's necessary to know what you don't want. No matter how rah-rah positive thinkers claim to be most still dwell on what they don't want. I speak to coaches and thinkers who are trying to be abundant who still turn their attention to poverty in their talk. This means that it's screaming in their minds. I pretty good about the talk stuff, but still have my inner dialog running here and there.

Attack the inner screaming on a quantum level. Sit, meditate, watch all the destructive thoughts come to the front of your mind. Trust me, they will ;) Once you've ID'ed them they can be released. You are then free to focus on exactly what you want, because now you've cleared yourself of what you don't want.

As for self-employment, I've had many financial blockages which have arisen, persisted for some time, and faded away. Too many to note here, and they're history anyway ;)

That's an interesting challenge and I can most relate to "Self Employment? What has changed in your life sense you started working for yourself? Publish the contrast."

I'll try and get a post out about it soon and let you know. :-)

Good post. A few suggestions in this vein:

Eat in total silence. No TV, no browsing the internet, no reading the newspaper. Just eat (of course, if you're sharing your meal with others, you should be more than happy to talk with them) and really feel the taste of your food.

Taking time out of our days to observe nature, if only for a little, is also very rewarding. Again: the best things in life a free, and extremely simplistic. Simple pleasures are the best pleasures.

I think a lot of times we create a false sense of security which allows us to accept a lifestyle that we truly do not want. If we are more honest with ourselves, better growth is possible.
